Irene Davì, Italian Carabinieri Lieutenant Colonel – Forestry Role, began her career in the State Forestry Corps by attending, in 2010, the basic training course for Forest Commissioner at the Higher School of Police of Rome.
Graduated in “Economics and Commerce”, she speaks English and French, holds master’s degrees in “Procurement Management” and “Environmental Safety Sciences” and has been appointed as institutional representative at the meeting of the Flegt-Eutr (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) in Brussels in 2018 and for the “Internal Security Fund Police 2014-2020 (ISF)” Operational Facility for fighting Illicit Waste Trafficking (OPFA WASTE)” project in 2019. In the State Forestry Corps, she held the position of Staff Officer to CITES Division of the Inspectorate II General Service.
Following the transit into the Initial Forestry Role of the Officers of the Italian Carabinieri, since 2017, after the first position of Staff Officer to the 5th Section of Environmental Protection and Central CITES Service of the Forest, Environmental and Agri-Food Protection Unit Command in Rome, she held the positions of Head of Central Operational Section of the Operational Department of the CITES Carabinieri Group and Commander of CITES Unit in Rome, Staff Officer at the International Cooperation Office and Organized Crime, Eversion and Terrorism Office of the Carabinieri General Headquarters.
She has been appointed Commander of the Carabinieri Forestry Group in Rieti since June 2021.
